Our story
It started with a simple cup of coffee and a shared frustration.
Aareev was recounting a frustrating experience of getting his phone repaired. He had to find a mobile repair shop, take his phone there, figure out what the repair would cost and then wait anywhere from four hours to an entire day to get it back. Shivansh immediately related. He had faced a remarkably similar experience while visiting his hometown.
Different places, same story. Find a shop. Leave your phone. Wait. Wonder how much it will cost. And hope everything goes smoothly.
That got them thinking: Why did it have to be this much of a hassle? Surely, there had to be a better way.
Awaneesh started looking into the mobile repair space to understand how the process could be improved. The three of them came together, researched the existing landscape and began working on a solution that would bring the repair to the customer instead of making the customer go looking for it.
That idea became fixkaru.
The thought was simple: when your phone stops, you shouldn't have to stop your day. With fixkaru, you book a repair, and the repair comes to you.

Why we exist
A broken phone shouldn't cost you a day. Between the trip to the market, the wait, the "come back tomorrow", and the uncertainty about what actually got replaced, phone repair in India asks a lot of trust and gives back very little. We think it can work the other way round.
