Warranty Policy
Fixkaru Technologies, operating as 'fixkaru' ('Company', 'we', 'us')
Last updated: August 2026
1. Overview
This Warranty Policy ("Policy") explains what is covered when you get a repair done through fixkaru, for how long, and how to raise a claim if something goes wrong. It applies to repairs booked through the fixkaru website and completed at your doorstep.
This Policy works alongside our Terms of Service. If there's ever a conflict between the two, the specific warranty terms in this Policy (and on your invoice) will govern warranty coverage; the Terms of Service will continue to govern your rights and obligations as a user of our platform. Nothing here limits any rights you have under Indian consumer protection law.
2. Definitions
- Device — the mobile phone or device brought in for repair.
- Repair / Service — the specific repair work performed by Fixkaru.
- Part — any component replaced or installed as part of the Repair.
- Warranty Period — the coverage duration for a specific Repair/Part, as stated on your invoice.
- Proof of Service — your fixkaru invoice, job card, or digital receipt.
3. Warranty Coverage
Coverage depends on the type of repair performed and is stated on your invoice at the time of service. As a general structure:
| Repair Type | Typical Warranty Period |
|---|---|
| Screen replacement | Up to 6 Months (180 Days) |
| Battery replacement | 6 Months (180 Days) |
| Charging port / connector repair | 6 Months (180 Days) |
| Camera module | 6 Months (180 Days) |
| Board-level / motherboard repair | 3 Months (90 Days) |
| Software / diagnostic services | Not covered under this Policy |
Note: Actual warranty periods vary by part quality (OEM vs. compatible) and repair complexity, as specified on your invoice at the time of repair.
The warranty covers functional failure of the specific part fitted or the specific repair performed, arising from defects in workmanship or the part itself, within the applicable Warranty Period.
4. What's Not Covered
Your warranty will not apply where:
- The Device suffers physical damage, liquid damage, or an accident after the repair is completed
- The Device has been opened, serviced, or tampered with by anyone other than fixkaru during the Warranty Period
- The issue results from misuse, unauthorized accessories, or failure to follow care instructions provided at the time of service
- The problem is software-related (OS updates, app crashes, settings issues) rather than hardware-related
- Normal wear and tear on parts not directly related to the original repair
5. How to Raise a Warranty Claim
- Locate your Proof of Service (invoice/job card) and confirm you're still within the Warranty Period for that repair.
- Contact us as soon as you notice the issue — through WhatsApp, phone, or email.
- Share: your invoice/order ID, device IMEI or serial number, a brief description of the issue, and photos or video if possible.
- Please don't attempt a third-party repair before we've had a chance to inspect the Device — doing so may void the claim.
- We'll schedule a doorstep visit or, if needed, arrange pickup for workshop inspection.
6. What Happens Next
Every claim goes through inspection to confirm the defect exists, that it relates to the covered part or workmanship, and that no exclusion applies.
If your claim is valid, fixkaru will, at its discretion:
- Repair the defective part, or
- Replace the defective part, or
- Re-perform the original service
— at no additional charge.
Timelines: Once we confirm your claim is accepted (via WhatsApp or email), we aim to begin resolution — scheduling a doorstep visit or pickup — within 24 hours. In some cases (part availability, technical complexity, your availability, or similar factors outside our control), this may take longer; we'll keep you informed of the revised timeline.
If inspection shows the issue isn't covered, we'll let you know and offer a paid repair option if you'd like to proceed — it's entirely your choice.
7. Before You Hand Over Your Device
Please, ahead of any repair or warranty visit:
- Back up your data
- Remove SIM/memory cards and any accessories not needed for the repair
- Temporarily disable device lock/tracking features (Find My iPhone, screen locks) that could block diagnostics, or share a temporary passcode
Fixkaru is not responsible for data loss during servicing, except where it results directly from our negligence.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Fixkaru is not liable for indirect or consequential losses — such as loss of data, business interruption, or loss of use of the Device.
Except where death or personal injury results from our negligence, Fixkaru's total liability for any claim relating to a specific repair will not exceed the amount you paid for that repair.
This Policy does not limit any statutory rights you have as a consumer under Indian law.
9. Other Terms
Non-transferable: This warranty applies only to the original customer named on the invoice.
Changes: We may update this Policy from time to time; the current version will always be available on our website.
